A year after the official introduction, Alfa Romeo Giulietta could be equipped with second-generation 140 HP 2.0 JTDM engines. C-segment medium car VW Golf with a similar 2.0 diesel engine would be the main competitor, however its Direct-Shift Gearbox is a double-clutch set. A similar transmission system for Giulietta will be available only at the end of this
year.

The 2.0 JTDM engine delivers 340 Nm torque at 1750 rpm, a top speed of 205 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds. The engine has a relatively long servicing interval, 35,000 kms.

Introducing the engine, a new pack is available, too, named Style. It is optional for Distinctive and it consists of 17" alloy wheels, side skirts, moreover totally black interior. Its price is 1,000 euros.
