GTA version of MiTO was inaugurated at Motor Show and Accessories of Geneva last year by former chief executive officer Sergio Cravero. Then he had claimed that Alfa was ready for a standardize production based on that prototype. Later, the project was left in abeyance.

Considering the diffuser, the double exhaust pipes, and the Italian test number-plate, it can be suspected that the car is a GTA. Because of the spy photo, it is possible that the project was revived however it is not in the five-year plan of the factory. According to the Italian autoblog this GTA can be a limited edition version based the 1.4 MultiAir engine with 170 HP instead of the 1.75 GTA prototype one.
