The official showdown is getting closer and closer, so the factory gives more and more information about the new B-segment sport car. In a day or so, Alfa publicized the new official sketches about the Junior.
The developing group make a technical masterpiece for the Juniors price under the direction of Mauro Pierallini. The Junior will be the first non-Ferrari car in which the engineers put the SDC active suspension, controlled with the Manettino just from the steering wheel.
The basic engine will be a 1.4 litre Multiair petrol engine, with a maximum output of 105 HP. The next step is the 1.4 litre JTB turbocharged unit, which boosts 135 or 180 horses depending on the version. The top of the engine range will be the 1.8 litre turbocharged JTB with 230 horses. Diesel fanatics would choose only one engine, the 1.6 litre JTDm, with 120 Hp, but the 1.6 JTTDm boosts 150 horses. For all of the engines Alfa coupled a 6 gear manual gearbox
Just after the premiere at Geneva, Alfa will start to put on the market and their aim is to sell 75.000 pieces a year. Its price will be close to the Mini’s, Alfa will price the Junior of around 16000 Euros.
