Thanx for welcoming me at the club. I have been to Hungary several times now, and will be for many more I hope. Thats why I searched for people who love Alfa to in Hungary.
My TI is so much fun to drive, and despite the high kilometers it is still pretty fast. Not to meantion the cornering, the fun gets bigger every time. I own the car for a month, always wanted a Alfa and there will be another the next time I buy a car again.
There is just one thing thats spoils te pleasure, and that is the damage on both sides, as you can see on the pictures. I looked for doors, new or second hand and I cant find them anywhere.
Ofcourse I want to fix the damage, and I know that craftmanship in Hungary is very good. I will be in the region of Pecs / Szigethvar the first 2 weeks of august, so if you think there is a possibilitie for fixing it, or you know where I can let it fix please leave a message. Its nice to meet other alfa drivers too ofcourse, so if there is a meeting I will be there. There are few TI s in Holland, and this one must be on the road for a long time. I thank you in advance.
Welcome to my Blog.
Hope to get a great time here at Alfa Amore.
About my Alfa Romeo 166 I can tell you all that it's a realy great car. The best if not!
At least the best I ever had.
I drive it on a regular basis from home to work, about 30 kilometers both ways.
Not enough on one site but seeïng the fuell prizes it is more than enough. But it is worth every penny or better, Euro.
Not only for the costs of the fuell but also for the prize that had to be payed.
On the picture, my other Alfa.....they don't go at the same time however! :-)
And the 145 1.4 and 1.8 are from the wife and my son. Then the 166 must be mine?!!! To much of the third Alfa it seem :-)
With reference to your request we are informing you as follows.
According to our documentation files the chassis number ZAR 116C0000014859 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV 6C 2.5 manufactured on the 1St September 1983 and sold on the 5th Fwerbuary 1985 on the Dutch Market. The body colour is metallic black.

Now I drive about 7000 kms. We get know each other.
Q2 has harder suspension, bigger alloy wheels, and more direct steering wheel. Therefore the car is significantly sporty than normal GTs.
Perfect place to feel the better traction: strait woody road with rain and some tiny gravel. So funny, easy to get at retching for the passanger :)
Side trafficator light was waggling - replaced.
Petrol dashboard replaced diesel one.
I was looking for a ready to ship car to avoid the long producing time. It was found at the polish store. Lets rock, only a week to get it. I stand it with rent-a-car.. However I had to wait a month.
Fast check; paintwork is good - no repaint, equipments is full. But one thing.. It had a petrol dashboard in place of diesel.
2 years and 50.000 kilometers... What a feeling! :-)))
The 23rd of April 2007 will be a red letter day every year for me. I bought Alfonz in this day for 3600 Euros. One of my dreams came true.
