Reorganized Bertone Studio was the next which introduced its concept car based on 8C Competizione. Lilli Bertone, ex- and present-president of StileBertone, was also attended to the press conference. Two hundred designers and engineers worked on Pandion.

Head designer Mike Robinson emphasised that Pandion is a conventional product of Bertone Studio: it is uniquely innovative and rapid. Considering the scale of the car, it is a typical sport coupe with long and extended bonnet, slight lines and curt tail.

According to Mike Robinson, although the car is extravagant, it can be easily recognised as an Alfa Romeo. Door-opening is the most extravagant part of the car: they are fixed in the middle and can be opened with erecting the whole side of the car including its front splasher-archs. Height in case of opening is 1.8 metres.

Rear part is similar to an abdomen of an insect. The solution to continue the whole zippy design was named skin&frame. Head designer claims that with this idea, design is not out of breath, and remains dinamic at the rear.
